Much like Eraserhead itself, the meaning you take away depends on the mood you’re in or maybe even where you are in your own life when you watch it. Regardless, the lady in the radiator singing “In Heaven” seems to be a moment of clarity in David Lynch’s student film masterpiece. I have my theories on what it means, but it’s much more fun to watch the movie and come to your own conclusions.
